We would like to remind parents about some key points around drop off and collection. Students are not supervised on campus until 7:45 and so children should be left unaccompanied by parents or carers until this time. Adults may enter the site with their children from 7:40am at the earliest. Adults are welcome to stay and enjoy some social time at Caf茅 Yeti until 8:45am.
At the end of the school day, adults are not given entry to the campus until 2:15pm. Please do not arrive earlier than this. If you are collecting children who are finishing at 3:30pm or 4:30pm, please arrive no more than 15 minutes before this. We know that the traffic can be an issue, however currently cars are arriving to the area too early and this is causing congestion both in the car park and in the surrounding areas.听
We have been asked by the traffic police to inform parents that they should follow traffic laws when parking in the area of the school. They may well be enforcing parking penalties in the area and parents need to be aware that if they are causing congestion, using the one way system in the wrong direction or parking illegally, they may well be fined or clamped.
One way that parents can ease the traffic is to consider carpooling with other families. This also helps our environment and supports cleaner air for all our children.听

Withdrawal Notice
Thank you to the parents who have already informed us that your child/children will be leaving 91传媒 at the end of the term on Friday, 26th June 2026. We would like to stress that providing adequate and timely notice is essential. Formal notice is a mandatory requirement, helps parents avoid potential financial penalties, enables the timely refund of security deposits, and allows the school to plan effectively for the upcoming term. Please be reminded that the final deadline for submitting a formal notice of withdrawal is Sunday, 31st May 2026. Notice must be provided either by email or by a written letter addressed to Ms Manisha Bajracharya, Admissions Office. Upon receipt of the withdrawal notice, parents will be issued a clearance form, which must be completed closer to the end of the term to finalise the withdrawal process. Parents who require school documents or references for the new school should inform Ms Manisha Bajracharya in the Admissions Office as early as possible. Kindly note that late submission or failure to provide notice, as well as not completing the clearance process or returning school resources, may result in partial or full forfeiture of the security deposit. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering strictly to these requirements.

12th Community Conference at 91传媒: A Celebration of Skills for a Safer and Smarter School
The 12th Community Conference at 91传媒 was a vibrant and inspiring celebration of collaboration, leadership, and shared learning, held under the theme 鈥淪kills for a Safer and Smarter School.鈥 The event brought together approximately 80 participants, including valued community partners, schools, and organisations from both within and beyond the Kathmandu Valley.
The day was filled with energy, purpose, and meaningful engagement from start to finish. A standout highlight was the exceptional leadership demonstrated by our primary student leaders. With confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm, they led a series of engaging activities for students from four different community organisations. Their ability to connect, guide, and inspire others truly reflected the spirit of the conference and the importance of empowering young leaders.
Delegates also participated in a range of insightful workshops, which provided rich opportunities for professional learning, collaboration, and reflection. These sessions were highly appreciated for their practical relevance and interactive nature, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of key educational and community-focused practices.
The event also featured the 4th Early Years Teach Meet, hosted by Sanskriti School, which created a dynamic platform for educators to share ideas, exchange best practices, and strengthen professional networks within the Early Years community.
In addition, some of the participants took part in the First Aid training where the听 session equipped participants with essential, life-saving skills, reinforcing the conference鈥檚 focus on safety, awareness, and preparedness. We are proud to certify them through this renowned training system.
Throughout the day, the atmosphere was one of enthusiasm and collaboration. The positive spirit was reflected in the feedback from participants, who shared comments such as:

91传媒 proves successful in the formidable Battle of the Books!
By Avigya听
On Tuesday, 5th May 91传媒 proudly and happily participated in the annual Battle of the Books competition for years 6 to 9, against KISC and Rato Bangala, held at KISC.
From our school, the teams that participated were 鈥楻eading Rebels Returned鈥 including Renee, Juhi, Arya and Avigya, all from Year 7. And 鈥楩lappy Tomatoes鈥 including Luveena and Adeline both from year 9, and Balark I from Year 7. The competition consisted of 4 rounds in total. Each round there included information and clues about a book from the selected 20 fictional books which all teams had to read. And then, the teams had to guess what the book was within 30 seconds, getting extra points if they also said the author of that book.听
Each round had a topic which the questions were based on, round 1 being character, round 2 being antagonist, and round 3 being about plot and setting.
听鈥 The best part of the competition is getting the question correct after 30 seconds of stress and anticipation,鈥 said Juhi Shrestha.听
At the end of the 3rd round, there was a bonus round in which teams had to answer in detail 6 comprehension questions from 3 random books from the list; there were 2 questions for each of the 3 books and contestants had 10 minutes to do this.听
This year, 鈥楻eading Rebels Return鈥 won 2nd place and 鈥楩lappy tomatoes鈥 won 3rd. They鈥檝e shown the best of 91传媒 during this competition.听
鈥淚鈥檓 really proud of everyone who took part – the students鈥 success is their well-deserved reward for a fantastic commitment to reading. They鈥檝e shown the best of 91传媒 during this competition.鈥
– Mr Johnston
Overall, this competition was very fun and successful. As Renee said, 鈥 I really enjoyed the competition and the books.鈥 The writer, me, being a person who participated in this competition twice now, made me explore genres I would not visit and know what I would like if it were not for Battle of the Books. Alongside this, it also taught me reading habits that I will never forget. I highly recommend any year 6-9 students to participate in this competition as I surely will next year, and I hope we can showcase the same amount of greatness (if not better) in future competitions!

Year 4 Parent Visit
In Year 4, we were very lucky to welcome Bhushan Thapa into school to talk to us about hydroelectricity. The children learned how a hydroelectric power plant works, how long it takes to build one, and many other fascinating facts about generating electricity using water. They were incredibly engaged and asked lots of thoughtful questions throughout the session. It was a wonderful opportunity to hear from a real expert and deepen our learning about renewable energy.听
Parents Forum
This week it was a pleasure to host a Parent Information Forum for our parents focusing on the Transitions and changes that our children go through as we approach the end of the academic year. It was wonderful to have such a large turn out, and we look forward to implementing some of the ideas discussed.
Little Yetis
This week, our Little Yeti鈥檚 morning was inspired by the popular story Dear Zoo and safari animals 听in honour of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday. The children loved exploring a range of hands-on activities. They gave toy animals muddy baths, caught animals swimming in the water area, squished and shaped creatures in playdough, searched for animals with binoculars, and had the opportunity to craft their own giraffes.
We look forward to diving into a new adventure next week as we explore an exciting Under the Sea theme!
